In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Crandon Cardinals basketball team scored a big 64-29 triumph over the Northland Pines Eagles.

The Cardinals (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Elcho (Elcho, WI). The Hornets go into the Northern Lakes contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Elcho was trounced by Florence (Florence, WI), 56-22, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI) in a Great Northern contest, on Friday, January 31. Northland Pines will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Hodags go into the contest with a 10-7 record after their 59-29 non-league loss to Assumption (Wisconsin Rapids, WI).
