Iowa High School Basketball - Dallas Center-Grimes bests Newton

The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and limited the host Newton Cardinals to 26 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Oskaloosa for a Little Hawkeye game on Friday, January 31.

With the loss, Newton falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Pella (Pella, IA) to confront the Dutch in a Little Hawkeye game on Friday, January 31. The Dutch go into the game with a record of 11-6. Pella lost 78-47 in their recent non-league game against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA)
