The Lakers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI). The Cardinals go into the Catholic C-D D contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Cardinal Mooney Catholic smashed Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI), 46-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the WOLVES meet the Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 30. Detroit Cristo Rey will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Crusaders enter the battle with a 5-4 record after their 35-31 non-league win over Academy of the Sacred Heart (Bloomfield Hills, MI).
