West Virginia High School Basketball - Ritchie County thwarts Doddridge County

January 28, 2025: Ellenboro, WV 26346

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ritchie County Rebels (Ellenboro, WV) and the visiting Doddridge County Bulldogs (West Union, WV), observed Ritchie County's basketball team knock off Doddridge County by a score of 45-30.

The Rebels (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Braxton County (Sutton, WV). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, Braxton County prevailed over Clay County (Clay, WV), 46-17, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Gilmer County Titans (Glenville, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East challenge, on Friday, January 31. Doddridge County will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 69-23 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Morgantown, WV).
