The Mitchell Mountaineers bounced the host Draughn Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 59-38 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Mountaineers clash with the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands outing, on Wednesday, January 29. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Dragons enter the outing with a 0-11 record after their 1-0 league loss to Rosman (Rosman, NC).
