The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) and the visiting East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA), observed Grundy Center's basketball team overwhelm East Marshall by a score of 66-18.

The Spartans (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Union (La Porte City, IA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 2-15 record. In their last challenge, Union was routed by Jesup (Jesup, IA), 60-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. East Marshall will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 64-18 league loss to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA).
