Next, the Bobcats encounter the Tenaha Tigers (Tenaha, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 test, on Friday, January 31. Gary will attempt to improve on its 8-21 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 26-6 record after their 60-43 league win over Garrison (Garrison, TX).

The Yellowjackets (3-19) will now prepare for their test against Timpson (Timpson, TX). The Bears come into the 2A Region III District 23 test with a 17-13 record. In their last test, Timpson bounced Waskom (Waskom, TX), 74-8, in a league test.
