The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC) and the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), observed Forbush's basketball team knock off West Wilkes by a score of 54-40.

The Falcons (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds come into the 2A Foothills challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, North Surry prevailed over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 45-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blackhawks encounter the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a 2A Foothills challenge, on Friday, January 31. West Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 18-1 record after their 57-11 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).
