New Mexico High School Basketball - Melrose triumphant over Gateway Christian

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) and the visiting Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM), observed Melrose's basketball team overwhelm Gateway Christian by a score of 52-28.

The Buffaloes (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Floyd (Floyd, NM). The Broncos come into the A District 4 challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Floyd was routed by Lake Arthur (Lake Arthur, NM), 30-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Elida Tigers (Elida, NM) in a A District 4 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Gateway Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 54-50 league win over Dora (Dora, NM).
