The Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) basketball edged the visiting Gorham Rams (Gorham, ME), 45-40 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Trojans now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Noble for a AA South bout on Friday, January 31. Thornton Academy will play a Knights team coming off a 59-20 league loss to Sanford (Sanford, ME). The Knights record now stands at 1-14.

With the loss, Gorham falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Rams host Westbrook (Westbrook, ME) to play the Blue Blazes in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. The Blue Blazes go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Westbrook lost 56-50 in their recent league bout against Marshwood (South Berwick, ME)
