The Prairie City Panthers basketball team scored 32 points and limited the visiting Grant Union Prospectors to 22 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now have a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Huntington for a 1A High Desert game on Friday, January 31. Prairie City will confront a Locomotives team coming off a 27-20 league loss to Harper (Harper, OR). The Locomotives record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Grant Union falls to 8-14 on the campaign. The Prospectors travel to Stanfield (Stanfield, OR) to confront the Tigers in a 2A Blue Mountain game on Friday, January 31. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 15-5. Stanfield lost 51-30 in their recent non-league game against La Grande (La Grande, OR)
