The Thornwell Saints basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting GREEN Upstate Owls to 19 in the Saints league triumph on Tuesday.

The Saints now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Abbeville for a A Region 1 game on Friday, January 31. Thornwell will confront a Panthers team coming off a 37-12 league win over GREEN Upstate (Simpsonville, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, GREEN Upstate falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Dixie (Due West, SC) to confront the Hornets in a A Region 1 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 11-7. Dixie won 68-34 in their recent league game against South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (Spartanburg, SC)
