North Carolina High School Basketball - Northeastern triumphant over Holmes

January 28, 2025: Elizabeth City, NC 27909

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), observed Northeastern's basketball team overwhelm Holmes by a score of 73-34.

The Eagles (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Camden County (Camden, NC). The Bruins come into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, Camden County was routed by Currituck County (Barco, NC), 40-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Aces encounter the Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Holmes will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 47-43 league win over Columbia (Columbia, NC).
