In Tuesday's non-league test, the Science Hill Hilltoppers (Johnson City, TN) basketball squad defeated the visiting Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN), by a score of 42-28.
Next, the Hilltoppers clash with the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) in a 4A District 1 test, on Friday, January 31. Science Hill will attempt to improve on its 12-10 season record. The Indians come into the test with a 7-11 record after their 57-49 non-league win over Gate City (Gate City, VA).
The Patriots (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Sevier County (Sevierville, TN). The Smoky Bears come into the 4A District 2 test with a 19-3 record. In their last test, Sevier County overcame Fulton (Knoxville, TN), 55-27, in a non-league test.
