In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Lyon County Lyons basketball team scored a good 56-40 triumph over the Livingston Central Cardinals.

The Lyons (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Rockets enter the District 5 battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Crittenden County knocked off Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY), 49-47, in a non-league battle.

The Cardinals now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caldwell County for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. Livingston Central will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 66-55 league loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 6-10.
