Texas High School Basketball - Madisonville knocks off Rusk

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Madisonville Mustangs basketball team scored a good 58-45 win over the Rusk Eagles.

The Mustangs (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hudson (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets come into the 4A Region III District 17 contest with a 11-20 record. In their last contest, Hudson was topped by Palestine (Palestine, TX), 55-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 contest, on Friday, January 31. Rusk will attempt to better on its 10-20 season record. The Roughriders come into the contest with a 8-18 record after their 55-54 league loss to Bullard (Bullard, TX).
