The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mahpiya Luta Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD) and the host Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD), observed Mahpiya Luta's basketball team overwhelm Pine Ridge by a score of 82-41.
The Crusaders (13-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD). The Scoopers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Sturgis Brown trounced Hill City (Hill City, SD), 49-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Thorpes encounter the Todd County Falcons (Mission, SD) in a A Region 7 challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Pine Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 72-65 non-league win over Crow Creek (Stephan, SD).
