The McCormick Chiefs basketball squad (McCormick, SC), was nudged 50-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Ware Shoals Hornets (Ware Shoals, SC)
With the victory, Ware Shoals advances its record to 7-10 on the year. The Hornets host Thornwell (Clinton, SC) to meet the Saints in a A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Saints enter the battle with a record of 5-8.
The Chiefs now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun Falls Charter for a A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 31. McCormick will meet a Blue Flashes squad coming off a 36-22 league loss to Dixie (Due West, SC). The Blue Flashes record now stands at 10-4.
