The Santana Sultans basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Monte Vista Monarchs to 28 in the Sultans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sultans now have a 18-5 record. They play next when they travel to Valhalla for a Grossmont - Valley game on Friday, January 31. Santana will confront a Norsemen team coming off a 55-42 league loss to El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Monte Vista falls to 2-19 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Matadors in a Grossmont - Valley game on Friday, January 31. The Matadors go into the game with a record of 4-19. Mount Miguel lost 58-16 in their recent league game against West Hills (Santee, CA)
