New Mexico High School Basketball - Newcomb victorious over Zuni

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Newcomb Skyhawks basketball team scored a good 58-48 triumph over the Zuni Thunderbirds.
The Skyhawks (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles go into the 3A District 1 contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Navajo Prep topped Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM), 55-35, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) in a 3A District 1 contest, on Thursday, January 30. Zuni will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 67-30 league win over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM).
