California High School Basketball - Newport Christian knocked off by Samueli Academy

In Tuesday's league test, the Samueli Academy Firewolves (Santa Ana, CA) basketball squad knocked off the host Newport Christian Seahawks (Newport Beach, CA), by a score of 49-35.

Next, the Firewolves clash with the San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a Academy test, on Thursday, January 30. Samueli Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 3-9 record after their 55-13 non-league loss to Takoma Academy (Takoma Park, MD).

The Seahawks (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Avalon (Avalon, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league test with a 5-11 record.
