The Pioneers (7-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN). The Highlanders come into the non-league challenge with a 19-4 record. In their last challenge, Floyd Central prevailed over Austin (Austin, IN), 58-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hilltoppers encounter the Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN) in a Ohio River Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Shawe Memorial will attempt to improve on its 15-5 season record. The Shiners come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 60-54 league loss to Switzerland County (Vevay, IN).
