The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southland Academy Raiders (Americus, GA) and the host Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles (Albany, GA), observed Southland Academy's basketball team overcome Sherwood Christian Academy by a margin of 41-28.

The Raiders (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA). The Warriors come into the GIAA AA Region 3 challenge with a 18-2 record. In their last challenge, Southwest Georgia Academy defeated Georgia Christian (Valdosta, GA), 44-32, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Georgia Christian Generals (Valdosta, GA) in a GIAA AA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Sherwood Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 50-44 non-league win over Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA).
