In Tuesday's league test, the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Siuslaw Vikings (Florence, OR), by a score of 36-27.
Next, the Lancers encounter the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) in a 3A Far West test, on Friday, January 31. South Umpqua will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 2-16 record after their 48-11 league loss to Sutherlin (Sutherlin, OR).
The Vikings (1-17) will now prepare for their test against Glide (Glide, OR). The Wildcats come into the 3A Far West test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Glide was knocked off by Coquille (Coquille, OR), 48-22, in a league test.
