The Wildcats (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Simley was nipped by Hastings (Hastings, MN), 10-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Zephyrs battle the St. Thomas Academy Cadets (Mendota Heights, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Mahtomedi will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Cadets come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Stillwater (Stillwater, MN).
