Virginia High School Basketball - Lunenburg Central holds off Cumberland

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Lunenburg Central Chargers basketball team scored a close 49-45 triumph over the Cumberland Dukes.
The Chargers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Goochland was tipped by Monticello (Charlottesville, VA), 61-23, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Dukes confront the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 49-34 non-league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA).
