In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Middlesex Chargers basketball team scored a big 44-11 win over the Mathews Blue Devils.
The Chargers (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Charles City smashed King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA), 28-20, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines (Chester, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 30. Mathews will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 31-18 non-league win over West Point (West Point, VA).
