The Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Piedmont Panthers to 53 in the Redhawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redhawks now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sun Valley for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. Monroe will play a Spartans team coming off a 40-37 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Piedmont falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. The Colts go into the game with a record of 8-8. West Stanly won 54-42 in their recent non-league game against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)
