Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dr. Phillips Panthers (Orlando, FL) and the visiting Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY), saw Dr. Phillips's basketball squad knock off Long Island Lutheran by a count of 70-58.
With the victory, Dr. Phillips upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Windermere (Windermere, FL) to play the Wolverines in a 7A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 18-4. Windermere won 61-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Southeast (Bradenton, FL)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Wasatch Academy Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 3. Long Island Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 63-62 non-league loss to Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, KS).
