Illinois High School Basketball - Effingham topped by Mahomet-Seymour

The Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Effingham Flaming Hearts to 37 in the Bulldogs league victory on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 22-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league contest on Monday, January 31. Mahomet-Seymour will battle a Chargers team coming off a 80-40 league loss to Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 7-14.
The Flaming Hearts (16-10) will now prepare for their contest against Charleston (Charleston, IL). The Trojans come into the Apollo contest with a 1-20 record. In their last contest, Charleston was defeated by Lincoln (Lincoln, IL), 56-14, in a league contest.
