In Saturday's non-league outing, the Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS) basketball squad beat the host Kinsley Coyotes (Kinsley, KS), by a count of 39-31.

The Thunderbirds (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against Fairfield (Langdon, KS). The Falcons go into the Heart of the Plains outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Fairfield defeated Independent (Wichita, KS), 47-39, in a non-league outing.

The Coyotes now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Central for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 1. Kinsley will clash with a Timberwolves squad coming off a 52-48 non-league loss to Hodgeman County (Jetmore, KS). The Timberwolves record now stands at 11-3.
