The Alburnett Pirates basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the host Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings to 30 in the Pirates league victory on Monday.

The Pirates now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springville for a Tri-Rivers contest on Tuesday, January 30. Alburnett will battle a Orioles team coming off a 48-33 league win over Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Orioles record now stands at 9-8.

The Vikings (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Stars come into the Tri-Rivers contest with a 2-15 record. In their last contest, Starmont was routed by Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA), 67-43, in a non-league contest.
