West Virginia High School Basketball - Braxton County thwarts South Harrison

January 29, 2024: Sutton, WV 26601

The Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) basketball knocked off the visiting South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV), 52-38 in Monday's league test.

The Eagles (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Doddridge County (West Union, WV). The Bulldogs go into the Little Kanawha - East test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Doddridge County notched a victory over Tyler (Sistersville, WV), 60-47, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. South Harrison will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 57-43 league win over Preston (Kingwood, WV). The Mountaineers record now stands at 9-4.
