The Houlka Wildcats (Houlka, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS), 61-53 in Monday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (10-13) will now prepare for their test against Smithville (Smithville, MS). The Seminoles go into the 1A Region 4 test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Smithville went down by West Lowndes (Columbus, MS), 89-58, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Ingomar for a 2A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 30. Bruce will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 48-39 non-league win over Amory (Amory, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 18-9.
