In Monday's league outing, the Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS) basketball squad edged the visiting Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS), by a margin of 66-63.

The Hilltoppers (5-17) will now prepare for their outing against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS). The Whippets go into the 4A Region 3 outing with a 18-7 record. In their last outing, Kosciusko was tipped by Greenwood (Greenwood, MS), 63-42, in a league outing.

The Cavaliers now own a 18-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a 4A Region 3 outing on Friday, February 2. Caledonia will clash with a Whippets squad coming off a 71-50 league win over Houston (Houston, MS). The Whippets record now stands at 19-7.
