In Monday's league outing, the Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS) basketball squad felled the visiting Holly Springs Hawks (Holly Springs, MS), by a margin of 48-33.
The Red Panthers (21-5) will now prepare for their outing against Independence (Independence, MS). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region 2 outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Independence was beaten by Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS), 46-36, in a league outing.
The Hawks now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they host Rosa Fort for a 3A Region 2 outing on Tuesday, January 30. Holly Springs will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 62-53 league win over North Panola (Sardis, MS). The Lions record now stands at 6-11.
