Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host H-L-V Warriors (Victor, IA), 59-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Colfax-Mingo upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Tigerhawks travel to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to play the Warhawks in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Warhawks come into the bout with a record of 11-5. North Mahaska lost 56-37 in their recent league bout against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Tuesday, January 30. H-L-V will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Braves come into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 79-73 non-league win over Moravia (Moravia, IA).
