Virginia High School Basketball - Essex overwhelmed by Lancaster

The Lancaster Red Devils basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting Essex Trojans to 26 in the Red Devils league victory on Monday.
The Red Devils now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westmoreland for a Northern Neck contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lancaster will battle a Eagles team coming off a 69-41 league win over Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.
The Trojans (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA). The Indians come into the Northern Neck contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Northumberland triumphed over West Point (West Point, VA), 71-53, in a non-league contest.
