Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Peabody upgrades its record to 27-5 on the season. The Warhorses travel to Neville (Monroe, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a 4A District 2 bout on Friday, February 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Neville won 68-43 in their recent league bout against Grant (Dry Prong, LA)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Franklin Parish will attempt to upgrade on its 19-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 17-12 record after their 60-51 league win over Neville (Monroe, LA).
