Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS) and the host Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS), saw Mantachie's basketball squad hold off Hatley by a tally of 56-50.

With the victory, Mantachie improves its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Vardaman (Vardaman, MS) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 6-13.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 2. Hatley will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record.
