Utah High School Basketball - Merit Preparatory Academy overwhelms Intermountain Christian

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT) and the visiting Intermountain Christian Lions (Salt Lake City, UT), saw Merit Preparatory Academy's basketball squad wallop Intermountain Christian by a tally of 79-48.

With the victory, Merit Preparatory Academy improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT) to confront the Marshals in a 2A Region 16 challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Marshals come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Rockwell won 90-53 in their recent league challenge against Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT)

Next up, the Lions confront the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles (Provo, UT) in a 2A Region 16 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Intermountain Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 67-40 non-league loss to Escalante (Escalante, UT).
