Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY), 68-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson County upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Generals host Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY) to clash with the Colonels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Whitley County lost 66-65 in their recent non-league bout against Cordia (Hazard, KY)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY) in a District 56 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 68-55 league win over Estill County (Irvine, KY).
