Malden Green Wave (Malden, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host South Pemiscot Bulldogs (Steele, MO), 62-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Malden upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Green Wave travel to Portageville (Portageville, MO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Bootheel bout on Thursday, February 1. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Portageville won 66-50 in their recent league bout against Caruthersville (Caruthersville, MO)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Senath-Hornersville Lions (Senath, MO) in a Bootheel bout, on Monday, February 5. South Pemiscot will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 49-48 league loss to Portageville (Portageville, MO).
