Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) and the host North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS), saw Rosa Fort's basketball squad overcome North Panola by a tally of 62-53.

With the victory, Rosa Fort improves its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS) to confront the Hawks in a 3A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 7-17. Holly Springs lost 48-33 in their recent league challenge against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) in a 3A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, February 2. North Panola will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 61-42 league loss to Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS).
