Searsport Vikings (Searsport, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME), 61-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Searsport upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Shead (Eastport, ME) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Shead lost 50-34 in their recent league bout against Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME)

Next up, the Breakers play the Buckfield Bucks (Buckfield, ME) in a D South bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Pine Tree Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Bucks come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 46-36 league win over Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME).
