Stillwater Pioneers (Stillwater, OK) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southmoore SaberCats (Moore, OK), 59-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stillwater upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Ponca City (Ponca City, OK) to play the Wildcats in a 6A District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Ponca City lost 74-57 in their recent league bout against Bixby (Bixby, OK)

Next up, the SaberCats play the Bixby Spartans (Bixby, OK) in a 6A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Southmoore will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 59-55 league win over Broken Arrow (Broken Arrow, OK).
