Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE), 38-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wilcox-Hildreth upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Falcons travel to Overton (Overton, NE) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 1. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 18-1. Overton won 56-33 in their recent non-league bout against Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE)

Next up, the Broncos clash with the Pleasanton Bulldogs (Pleasanton, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Amherst will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 53-32 non-league loss to Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE).
