Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez trounces Apache Junction

The Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) basketball crushed the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 57-25 in Monday's league test.
The Colts (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons go into the 4A Black Canyon test with a 6-16 record. In their last test, Coronado was trounced by Dysart (El Mirage, AZ), 74-10, in a league test.
The Prospectors now own a 1-19 record. They play next when they host Tempe for a 4A Black Canyon test on Wednesday, January 31. Apache Junction will encounter a Buffaloes squad coming off a 48-13 league loss to Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 2-17.
