Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Ligonier Valley knocked off by Apollo Ridge

The Apollo Ridge Vikings basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Ligonier Valley Rams to 25 in the Vikings league triumph on Monday.

The Vikings now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deer Lakes for a WPIAL 3A 3 contest on Thursday, February 1. Apollo Ridge will battle a Lancers team coming off a 39-16 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 4-14.

The Rams (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Bucs enter the WPIAL 3A 3 contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Burrell was defeated by Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 53-32, in a league contest.
