Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers (Springfield, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Athol Bears (Athol, MA), 51-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Putnam Vo-Tech upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Longmeadow (Longmeadow, MA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Bears play the Mohawk Trail Regional Warriors (Buckland, MA) in a Franklin - South bout, on Thursday, February 1. Athol will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record.
